Dr. Umoren's warm, compassionate approach to talk therapy sets patients at ease and helps them focus on constructive steps toward improving emotional wellness and sustainable living. He is dedicated to working collaboratively with individuals to achieve success, drawing on his extensive training and experience to help them navigate internal and external challenges.
Training & Education
He completed his medical residency in Psychiatry at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He further obtained a sub-specialty fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida.

U.S. Navy Reserve
Lieutenant Commander with immense experience developing and managing the Geriatric Medicine Clinic at both the Bay Pines and Austin VA Medical Centers. Also served in the PTSD clinic and general out-patient mental health clinic of the Temple VA Medical Center.
